• Version control and DevOps tools: GitHub/GitLab

• 1 to 2 years of experience in software engineering within the relevant industry.

About the Role –  Associate Software Engineer

Red Hat’s UXE Platform Engineering Team is looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this Job role, you’ll work with a team of committed software engineers, contributing to the company’s backend API development. The primary focus will be on backend services and application services. As a Software Engineer, you will also work closely with the Digital Engineering, Quality Engineering (QE) team, DevOps and other development teams, and various stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions. In this job role you will work to develop the next generation of our industry- leading Red Hat portals and contribute to both customer and internal systems as a part of a flexible and globally distributed development team. This job role expects you to be highly creative and motivated, capable of building web applications, and to work in a fast-paced, result- driven environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• The candidate shall design, implement, and review API development using TypeScript and Java.

• Support and maintain existing diversified subgraphs portfolio along with the tech lead.

• The candidate will have to develop new GraphQL subgraphs.

• Support and develop supergraph enhancements and experience feedback.

• The Candidate should develop a brief idea of Graph OS and AEM to provide stable support.

• The candidate should handle project timelines, deliverables, feature requirements, and have roadmaps.

• Mentor junior team members to foster continuous learning and growth.

• The candidate should collaborate with architects to ensure smooth alignment with the team’s objectives.

• The candidate should engage in architecture discussions, code reviews, and provide support to the technical team.
