Qualifications:

• A Candidate must have attained a bachelor’s degree in engineering in Mechanical .

• 0 to 3 yrs experience in ETO/VAVE/Cost Out, product design is preferred.

  
  

Rules and Responsibilities :

• A Candidate will be responsible for understanding product portfolio, business landscape and providing cost out proposals through tear down of products.

  
  

• A Candidate will be responsible for taking technical ownership of engineer to order requirements. Ensuring product compliance to global design standards like IEEE, IEC or any other compliance standard.

  
  

• A Candidate will be responsible Completing system / component sizing, designing, simulation and testing activities to meet product requirements.

  
  

• A Candidate will be responsible for bringing a value addition to end customer by modifying existing products through Change management process.

  
  

• A Candidate will be responsible for execution of the engineer to order projects and take lead in activities like converting customer requirements into design parameters, designing core/coil as per requirements, complete design ( 2D dwg & 3D model) in Inventor & Autocad.

  
  

• A Candidate will be responsible for Completing tear downs, generating ideas, performing system / component sizing, modeling, and simulating to meet product design and compliance requirements

  
  

• A Candidate will be responsible to select engineering techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations.

  
  

• A Candidate will have to find out opportunities for continuous improvement and make VAVE proposals to business

  
  

• A Candidate must be Knowledgeable of standards in accordance with IEC/IEEE codes which will allow development of test plans.

  
  

• A Candidate will be utilizing knowledge of electrical performance requirements, physics and providing engineering judgement of the impact on the product from cost, testing and certification perspectives.

  
  

• A Candidate must have experience in witnessing tests like Temperature rise, Fault current, High voltage, Impact, Vibration, mechanical/ electrical endurance per standards thereby estimating impact on product performance from VAVE standpoint.

  
  

• A Candidate will be responsible for creating test object requirements, planning for assembly and finalizing test parameters & instrumentation.

  
  

• A Candidate will be assessing test results, rooting cause analysis through test findings/failures and taking corrective/preventive actions

  
  

• A Candidate will be responsible for supporting Creation of new designs and advanced methodologies to support the Technical Roadmap of the organization

  
  

• A Candidate will have to review supplier document Requirements List based on product requirements, customer specifications or industry standards like IEC, IEEE etc.

  
  

• A Candidate will have to Review, design proposals and documentation required to define & control product roadmap.

  
  

• A Candidate will be Participating in designing reviews, both customer and internal as required

  
  

• A Candidate will be responsible to identify, communicate risks as they arise during development and work on right mitigation plan

  
  

• A Candidate will be Participating in multidiscipline concurrent development and corrective action teams

  
  

• A Candidate will have to perform a wide variety of engineering and technical tasks involving the application of engineering knowledge and the development of solutions to complex problems pertaining to products, materials, manufacturing processes, tests, and unique customer applications.

  
  
  
  

Skills Required:

• A Candidate must be able to read and understand Drawings, Specifications, and Requirements

  
  

• A Candidate must possess strong product design ability (both new product & product modification). 

  
  

• A Candidate must be a team player, working with global teams, working in Virtual environment.

  
  

• A Candidate must be experienced in product development leveraging DFX methodology.

  
  

• A Candidate must be skilled about Engineering technical expertise to solve problems and make design recommendations.

  
  

• A Candidate must possess learning agility to understand & assimilate varied technologies & product knowledge•

  
  

• A Candidate must be proficient in Inventor and 3D modelling Autodesk.

  
  

• A Candidate must be able to generate novel concepts/ideas for the improvement for systems/ sub-systems

  
  

• A Candidate must have demonstrated experience in coordinating/completing complex projects on-time.

  
  

• A Candidate must be able to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the value proposition and quality of the engineering deliverables desired.

  
  

• A Candidate must possess sound technical knowledge in electromechanical products like Transformers , Regulators &  Circuit breakers, protection equipment etc.

  
  

• A Candidate must have mechanical technical knowledge on materials, Structural, Thermal calculations and physical testing.

  
  

• A Candidate must have the understanding of relevant industry standards and how they apply to the product.

  
  

• A Candidate must be able to monitor progress and achievements on projects.

  
  

• A Candidate must be able to provide timely status and reports to stakeholders.

  
  

• A Candidate must have Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  
  

• A Candidate must be Self-directed and able to report progress and metrics in a recurrent basis.
